We’re now taking bookings for our summer workshops, Monday 22nd July – Friday 26th July!

On offer this year is a crash course version of our popular beginners workshop, Foundation, which will see starting guitarists and drummers through the first stages of learning their instrument.

Also running is our popular songwriting/recording/video workshop, Studio Tube where students write a song, record it and shoot a video to upload to YouTube, all in a week.

The voting for the Elderflower Fields Festival has begun!

Six of the sixteen finalists are bands coached at Realistic Music Academy; Denver, The Exit Strategy, Legacy, Machete Bolognese, Soil To The Sun and The White Light Company. Also through to the finals is Realistic Music Academy student, Matthew Lawton.

Last year, the competition was won by Realistic Music Academy coached band, The Tones, who have been invited back to play again this year.

New this Easter, we’re running a live performance workshop with local dance & drama school, Dandelion Theatre Arts.

This 5 day workshop features songs from Queen and will see students putting on their own West End style performance for an audience of friends and family at the end of the week.

The Easter Showcase this term returns but with a bit of a face lift.

As well as featuring students from all workshops including Beginners To Band Members, Rock Band and A&R, we’re also treating our audience to performances from some of our talented private lesson students, the best of Bar XLR (our live music night) and of course, our tutors.

In a new venture with Dandelion Theatre Arts, we’re running a dance, drama & music workshop for 7-12 year olds this Easter!

Featuring songs from Queen, a custom written script and choreography, costumes and a professionally painted backdrop, this 5 day workshop will see students putting together their own West End style production in time for a showcase at the end of the week.
