Last Saturday, Babyfaced Assassins played at the South Park Gardens Music Festival in Wimbledon, an annual event for selected local acts under the age of 21.
The festival was hosted by XFM DJ, John Kennedy, who picked up on the band early in the selection process, listing their song ‘Hold Me Down’ first on the event Myspace as well as playing it on his radio show!
John is said to be ‘an absolute oracle of the hotly-tipped, the seer of the next big thing, the guru of the soon-to-be-great’, so being noticed by him is a fantastic achievement for the band.
Listen out for ‘Hold Me Down’ by Babyfaced Assassins on John’s X-posure show, Monday-Thursday from 10:00 pm – 1:00 am on XFM 104.9.

Realistic Record Deal is a 10 week advanced workshop where students learn the basic skills involved in songwriting, including how to write hooks and riffs as well as melodies and lyrics. They then write their own songs and record them in the in-house studio before performing them at the end of term showcase.
The songs from this term are now available for download for £1 each.
All profits raised from these songs go straight to Children In Need- we’ve raised over £200 on previous workshops so please download both songs if you can.
More information on Children In Need can be found here.
