A 10% discount is available on all workshops if payment is made in advance of the course date. Alternatively, payment can be made in instalments as detailed below. The price in brackets indicates the deposit required by the start date of the course and then the balance due by June 1st.

Foundation
Level: Beginners, age 11-17

A brand new introductory workshop for guitar and drums that will give students all the basic music knowledge to play their chosen instrument.
As well as basic theory, the Foundation workshop also includes a number of song studies and live performance sessions to get young musicians playing in a band as soon as possible.
Intermediate
Level: Intermediate, age 11-17

Time: 09:30-10:30 (60 minutes)

The follow on from the Foundation workshop, Intermediate allows students to expand on their existing skills and further their playing abilities while still taking part in live performance sessions.
As well as practical theory, students will learn a number of classic and contemporary rock songs that they can add to their existing song library.
Realistic Rock Band
Level: Intermediate + age 11-17
For: Guitar, drums, bass, vocals
Dates: Sat 5th Apr – Sat 14th Jul (10 weeks)
Time: 11:30 am-13:00 (90 minutes)

A more challenging workshop for intermediate level musicians, focused on band skills, set list building and live performance. Students will learn 6-8 songs including lead and solo parts and are encouraged to try out backing vocals.
Suitable as a follow on from Intermediate- students are expected to be able to read guitar/bass/drum tab and need a basic understanding of their instrument, including chord/note names for guitarist and bass players and standard drum grooves for drummers. Realistic Remix
Level: Intermediate-advanced, age 11-17
For: Guitar, drums, bass, vocals
Dates: Sat 5th Apr – Sat 14th Jul (10 weeks)
Time: 13:00-14:30 (90 minutes)

Songwriting and covers workshop for advanced musicians. The workshop includes a number of sessions focused on different aspects of songwriting such as hooks and riffs, melodies and song structures. It also looks at examples of famous pop and rock songs for students to cover.
Suitable as a follow on from Realistic Rock Band and all intermediate and advanced group lessons or as recommended by Realistic Rock.
